A statement piece of bespoke joinery designed to bring together luxury, functionality and timeless detailing.

This custom media wall combines beautifully crafted natural oak cabinetry, dramatic bookmatched-style stonework and softly illuminated display shelving to create a striking focal point within the living room.

The design was carefully developed around the proportions of the room and existing architectural features, creating a piece that feels completely integrated into the space rather than simply fitted against the wall.

Natural Oak Cabinetry

The lower section features a run of bespoke oak cabinetry with traditional framed and panelled doors, bringing warmth and texture to the room while providing generous concealed storage.

Each door and drawer front has been carefully proportioned and aligned to create a consistent rhythm across the full width of the unit. The natural oak grain adds character, while the understated detailing gives the furniture a timeless quality that works beautifully within the more contemporary setting.

Particular attention has been paid to the junctions, reveals and alignment of the cabinetry, ensuring the finished piece has the precision expected from high-quality bespoke joinery.

Stone Media Feature

At the centre of the design is a dramatic natural stone backdrop, providing a luxurious contrast against the warm oak.

The stone continues across the lower cabinetry to create a strong horizontal connection throughout the unit, while framing the television and giving the media area a sophisticated, architectural presence.

The combination of natural stone and oak creates a balance between contemporary luxury and traditional craftsmanship.

Illuminated Display Shelving

Either side of the television are bespoke open display niches, constructed in matching oak and designed with integrated shelving.

Concealed warm LED lighting illuminates each shelf, creating a soft ambient glow that highlights books, artwork, plants and decorative objects.

The lighting has been carefully integrated into the shelving rather than added as an afterthought, allowing the joinery to remain clean and refined when the lights are switched off while creating a completely different atmosphere in the evening.

Designed Around the Room

The media wall was designed specifically for this living space, taking into consideration the existing cornicing, windows, curtains and surrounding architecture.

The result is a balanced composition where the furniture, stonework and architectural details work together as one.

From the full-width cabinetry to the carefully recessed display areas, every element has been considered to maximise both the visual impact and practical storage available within the room.
